Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha, has announced the launch of WTFunds, making huge waves in the Indian entrepreneurial market. WTFunds is an initiative dedicated to supporting and empowering young entrepreneurs aged 25 and under.
With WTFunds, Nikhil aims to provide a complete support system for the most promising young minds in India by offering them financial assistance, mentorship, and access to resources to turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures.
What is WTFunds?
WTFunds are non-dilutive grant funds i.e. funds that do not require the recipient to give up equity in their company. Under this, each entrepreneur receives a 20 lakh grant while keeping full ownership of their ventures. Apart from this, WTFunds also provides a range of invaluable resources, including operator-first mentorship pods, a vibrant community within the WTF ecosystem, go-to-market support through a dedicated GTM studio, feedback and testing opportunities, and talent acquisition channels.
WTFunds aims to identify and support the top 1% of young entrepreneurs in India. To do this, they’ll select 40 exceptional individuals, under the age of 25, for funding and mentorship over the period of one year.
These individuals will be selected after going through a rigorous selection process to ensure that only the most promising ventures are selected.
