The Shark Tank India is back with its third edition and this time not only do we have new business ideas and pitchers but also new sharks. The 3rd season will have a total of 12 Sharks in the tank, where 6 new faces will be joining the old ones to make investments in the budding businesses.
Amit Jain, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Peeyush Bansal, and Namita Thapar will be joined by Ritesh Agarwal, Ronnie Screwvala, Deepinder Goyal, Varun Dua, Radhika Gupta and Azhar Iqubal.
Although all the 12 Sharks have built big businesses, one of them stands out in terms of their net worth. So, let’s know who is the richest Shark in the Shark Tank India Season 3.
Richest Shark in Shark Tank Season 3
Ritesh Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of OYO Rooms, is the richest shark among the 12 sharks of season 3. Ritesh’s net worth is Rs 16,000 crore and his company, OYO Rooms, a hospitality chain, is currently valued at Rs 80,000 crore.
According to sources, OYO filed for an IPO of INR 8,430 Crores in 2021, but things are likely to change as the company saw a massive rise in valuation after Ritesh and other employees purchased back shares at $10 billion since then. However, things weren’t always the same for the Odisha-born entrepreneur.

Born in 1993, Ritesh used to sell SIM cards in his early days after dropping out of college. The 29-year-old saw his fortunes change after he secured the Thiel Fellowship, an initiative started by Peter Thiel, which helped him start OYO Rooms, the unicorn company we know today.
Ritesh’s visionary insights and business decisions will be something the budding entrepreneurs will keep an eye on as he is all set to invest in the new generation’s business ideas in Season 3.
Other Shark’s Net Worth
Although Ritesh comes on top, a few Sharks are not behind in terms of net worth. Another new face in the tank, Ronnie Screwvala, has a net worth of more than Rs 10,000 crore.
Ronnie has multiple ventures which contributes to his Rs 12,800 crore net worth. Started from a toothbrush manufacturing company, the 61-year-old co-founded upGrad and RSVP Movies. Earlier, he founded UTV Software Communications, which he sold to Disney in 2012.
Ronnie is also the founder of companies like U Sports, Unilazer Ventures, and The Swades Foundation.
